• CHRISTINA’S HOME CARE IS HIRING CARE AT HOME CARERS TO JOIN OUR CLOSE- KNIT TEAM PROVIDING QUALITY CARE AND SUPPORT IN PEOPLE’S HOMES IN EAST RENFREWSHIRE (Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Giffnock and Barrhead) AND GLASGOW SOUTHSIDE.

We do Care, because we really do care for both those we care for and our staff team. In September 2023 the Care Inspectorate awarded Grade 5 (Very Good).

FULL TIME AND PART-TIME CONTRACTED HOURS (16-35 HOURS WEEKLY), WITH OPPORTUNITY TO WORK ADDITIONAL HOURS. HOURLY RATE OF PAY IS £12.15, WITH ENHANCED PAYMENTS (at least time and a half) ON 8 PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. DUTY MILEAGE OF 45p PER MILE PAID; 28 DAYS HOLIDAY PAY (pro rata).

WE ARE NOT AN AGENCY, RATHER A QUALITY CARE BUSINESS WITH 22 YEARS EXPERIENCE; ALL VISITS ARE CONTRACTED WITH LOCAL COUNCILS AND OUR PRIVATE CLIENTS.

• OUR CARE AT HOME CARERS TEAM PROVIDE ALL ASPECTS OF PERSONAL CARE, MOVING AND ASSISTING, SUPPORT IN NUTRITIONAL AND SKIN CARE AND MEDICATION SUPPORT- ON AN INDIVIDUAL PERSON- CENTRED BASIS

• WHILST PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS DESIRABLE, MORE IMPORTANT IS A REALLY GENUINE DESIRE TO MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE TO OLDER PEOPLE IN THEIR OWN HOMES. YOU MAY BE SEEKING A CAREER CHANGE, OR STUDYING AT COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY OR HAVE EXPERIENCE OF HAVING CARED FOR A LOVED ONE

• CORE HOURS ARE: 7.30- 1315 AND 1545- 2115 DAILY, WITH SOME BEFRIENDING AS WELL. FLEXIBLE OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE

ARE YOU A WELL- ORGANISED, FRIENDLY, COMPASSIONATE, ENERGETIC AND HIGHLY MOTIVATED ‘CAN DO’ TEAM PLAYER? BEING AN EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR, INCLUDING A GOOD LISTENER, WITH PATIENCE AND PROVEN TIME- MANAGEMENT SKILLS ARE VERY IMPORTANT.

FOR OPERATIONAL REASONS UK DRIVING LICENCE HOLDERS WITH THEIR OWN CARS ARE MUCH PREFERRED.

APPLICANTS WILL BE RESIDENT IN THE UK, AND LIVE WITHIN A MAXIMUM 30 MINUTE COMMUTE TO NEWTON MEARNS, EAST RENFREWSHIRE.

YOU WILL REQUIRE TO UNDERGO A DISCLOSURE SCOTLAND VETTING CHECK AND REGISTER WITH SSSC.
