We are currently seeking caring and enthusiastic Home Care/Personal Care Assistants to join our dedicated team.
Role Overview:
As a Home Care/Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to individuals in East Renfrewshire and Glasgow Southside. This role involves assisting with personal care, mobility, nutrition, skin care, and medication management, all tailored to the individual needs of each client. Immediate start dates are available for successful applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as medication, bathing, continence support , mobility, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation, ensuring their comfort, safety and dignity at all times.
- Support & Companionship: Engage with clients through social interaction and emotional support, promoting their overall well-being.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, including any changes in the client’s condition or medication.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care.
- Health & Safety: Follow all health, safety, and infection control guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Passion for Care: A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of older people with or without previous experience in care
- Skills: Strong communication and listening skills, patience, and the ability to manage time effectively
- Driver’s Licence: A UK driving licence and access to your own car is essential
- Disclosure & Registration: Willingness to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check and register with the SSSC
- Availability: Full time staff should be available to work core hours between 7:30 AM – 1:15 PM and 3:45 PM – 9:15 PM, including every second weekend
